9.19.24 ~ The Day of Trumpets/Shofar, the Day of Remembrance/Zikron Teruah, has been completed!
Good morning!
The Day of Trumpets/Shofar, the Day of Remembrance/Zikron Teruah, has been completed! And what a marvelous day we had up here in Michigan. By now, we know that this is also known as the hidden day that no man knows (Mk. 13:32), the day of the great shout (1 Thess. 4:16), the day for Coronating the King (1 Kg. 1:38-40). For the past month of Elul, the 6th month on God's prophetic calendar, we've been in a time of soul searching and prioritizing intimacy with the coming King...did you feel it? By that statement, I mean, are you noticing all the distractions coming your way, the fear and the doubt concerning so many issues? It's the month for blotting the remembrance/zeker of Amalek (Deut. 25:19); who is relentless on distracting you and causing doubt.
Commercial: Last night's Yom Teruah, and first podcast, study: Does anyone know when the King is coming (Matt. 24; Mk. 13:32)?
God's crowning activity of creation was building the female/nekevah; the Ishah/woman from man/Ish. The individual responsible for this creative marvel was to replenish the earth, rule and reign, have dominion and be fruitful (Gen. 1:26-28). The Individuals created for this individual known as man/Adam are identified as male/zakar and female/nekevah. Unlike all of the other creations on the first six days man, Adam, is the only one with the ability to choose obedience through love, rather than by instinct.
It's difficult just by reading the word male/zakar, the one who is to remember or take action, to get an idea of what man is, besides his anatomical distinctions. But if we check out how God remembers/zakar then we can learn a lot about the role of the man in his relationship with the nekevah.
When God remembers/zakar He takes deliberate action with a clear mental focus that has meditated and paid attention to detail while recalling the past (Psa. 144:3). When God thinks/zakar about us, He carefully considers everything about us, His bride, aka honey-bunny. There is intimate interest in every thought He has towards His wife. He thinks of her all day long carefully examining every facet of who she is, arranging His thoughts about her in order to completely understand her.
As we have seen in the Aaronic blessing, He's giddy to see us and gives her more than just a cursory glance in her direction (Num. 6:23-27). He's always looking through His photo album of special events that He's had with her. He reflects. He smiles. He sings. He loves to send love messages. He's always calling because He loves her voice. His affection is always goal-oriented and He wants the best for her. He sees her as she is to be, and walks with her in the details of life; as she is. He calls her from the finish line and through love perfectly (Isa. 46:10; 1 Cor. 13).
Yep! The male/zakar of the created man/Adam is created in God's image. Amazing that He zakars us as He does and the privilege we have as Ish to share those same realities with the woman/Ishah.
Elul was the month for the Nekevah to prepare herself for her Ish. The earthly nekevah acts as a mirror for her heavenly Man. When people see what you're reflecting in life, do they see you being transformed into His image (Rom. 12:1,2)? He is always remembering/zakar the Covenant of Abraham with us. As His potential bride are we mirroring his Zakar? The 7th month is for focus on establishing the Temple as God's dwelling place (1 King 8).
As we head into what are known as the ten days of awe, make this 1st day after Trumpets an amazing day of serving and worshipping the King. The Day of Trumpets has passed, but the memory is strongly motivating. I'm not sure, but with all the confusion in this world, I think it best to strive to keep my mirror focus on Him to establish Him as the King.
Shalom
