10.16.24 ~ Celebrate the King
Good morning!
It was a full day yesterday. A lot of traveling and all types of preparatory events for the trip throughout the day. I got to bed at 2:00 a.m. and, by God's grace, slept like a rock. I'm experiencing His daily mercies here in Destin, Florida and I'm ready to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles with Grace Church.
Many of us have already celebrated Yom HaKippurim (Day of Atonements/Coverings), where each individual had just finished afflicting their soul (Lev. 23:32); with deep soul-searching time for any rebelliousness within their lives towards Yahweh (Lev. 16:30). As you know, Atonement(s) is the sixth of seven Moedim/God's appointed times on His prophetic calendar and precedes chag HaSukkot (Feast of Sukkot/Tabernacles) by five days (Lev. 23:27,34).
And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. (Lev.23:41)
For many around the world, today is the time to celebrate and rehearse the wedding of the Lamb! The pinnacle of the year! The consummation and climax to Yah’s prophetic time-table revealed in His Moedim! At Passover, we see the reality of Yeshua’s death! During the 7 days of Unleavened Bread, we separated ourselves from the things that hinder our immediate obedience. For 7 days we did not eat anything leavened in our food. Shortly after that we experienced First-fruit; where we connect Yeshua, as the first fruits from the dead, and through His resurrection He has called us to live out our lives in His resurrection power (Rom. 6:1-11)!
50 days later, the Spirit was given in abundant measure to empower the disciples to carry the good news message to the ends of the earth in anticipation of Messiah’s return. Then in the 7th month of the year, which we are moving through right now, we've experienced the re-gathering of Yahweh’s people at Yom Teruah (The Day of the Awakening Blast of the Shofar/The Hidden Day/Day of Judgement). And the past 10 days were Days of Awe, where Yahweh has shown us mercy in dealing with our shortcomings and sinful behavior, leading to the holiest Day of the year, Yom HaKippurim; the Day where sin will finally and ultimately will be removed (Rom. 11:25-27). The Day where nations will be separated into obedient sheep vs disobedient goats (Matt. 25:31-46). Where the faithful will be separated from the unfaithful (Matt. 25:14-30). Where the wise virgins will be separated from the foolish (Matt. 25:1-13).Where the books will be sealed and the righteous will be righteous still and the unjust will be unjust still (Rev. 22:11). The Day where the Wedding Feast door will be shut for some, and access granted for others (Gen. 7:16; Gen. 19:10; Matt. 25:10). It’s the Day where the garments of righteousness will be given to the bride who has made herself ready (Rev. 19:7,8). It’s the Day that precedes and prepares for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!
It’s time to put in our final preparation for the celebration! And since, this year is not the Year that Messiah returned, Sukkot has been and is going to be a rehearsal of the Wedding Feast...can't wait!
BTW did you notice that I put Leviticus 23:41 in the middle of the study without an explanation? Of course you did. If we compare the 7 day feast of unleavened bread with the 7 days of Sukkot we will find the wording is a little different. The difference is that Sukkot is 7 days in the year. Huh? In other words, the mindset of Sukkot is supposed to be carried with us throughout the year, not just 7 days. May it be true of all of us.
Wherever you go to Sukkot this year, or wherever you celebrated it, celebrate the King! Celebrate it with the portion of His body present at your camp! Reflect on His work inside of you. Remember, you’ve been bought with a price (Passover). You’ve made the decision to leave behind the leaven in your life (Unleavened Bread). You’ve been raised to walk in newness of life (First-fruit). You’ve been empowered by the Holy Spirit and given His ketubah (Pentecost). You’ve rehearsed gathering together as one body (Trumpets). As a body you’ve corporately, as well as individually, dealt with anything that hinders intimacy with your Bridegroom and He’s prepared you for meeting with Him face to face (Atonements) and now, after all His ordained preparations in your life and those around you, it’s time to gather together for the climax of all history; The Feast for the nations (Zech. 14:16).
Destin Florida is primed and ready. Pray for us as we celebrate as I'm praying for you.
Chag Sameach!
Shalom!
