10.24.24

Good morning!

The Feast of Tabernacles has come to a close here in Ft. Walton, Florida. 8 days of celebrating the 7th of 7 appointed times on God's prophetic calendar (Gen. 1:14; Lev. 23; Zech 14).

Commercial: Who do you say that I am? He is the living Menorah, the Light of the World. The One whom the Spirit of God rests and Who lights my path in growth and maturity

In our study last night we highlighted certain practical truths concerning the 7 Spirits found in the Menorah (Isa. 11:2,3; Rev. 1:20; 4:5,6; 5:6,7; Lev. 24:1-4). For many, this topic appears to be archaic. For others, who know they are called to be a kingdom of Priests, the topic grips the heart. This morning I was dissecting this passage in Leviticus 21-24 only to find clearer instructions for those who are called to be a kingdom of Priests (Rev. 1:6; Ex. 19:6; Isa. 61:6; 5:10; 1 Pet. 2:5-9). Unfortunately, for too many years I had looked at these passages as aloof instructions that have no bearing on my life except for gaining more head knowledge concerning the sanctification requirements of the priesthood...but thank you Lord you've opened my eyes and my heart in a deeper way over the years!!

At the end of the passage that gives instructions regarding God's appointed times/moedim (Lev. 23) there are instructions concerning the Lampstand (Lev. 24:1-4). I used to think that the Menorah, the 7 branched Lampstand found in the Tabernacle/Temple, was a Jewish piece of furniture, until I learned that there is one burning before the Throne of Yahweh Elohim in the Heavenlies (Rev. 4:5,6) and it is and represents much more than my mind ever imagined (Rev. 1:20; 5:6; Lev. 23; Gen. 1:1-2:3; Isa. 11:1-3; etc).

This is a significant fact, especially since the many people who follow the One True God/Elohim of Israel, have one in their houses as a reminder to be a light to the world (Isa. 42:6; Matt. 5:13-16; Isa. 8:20) and a constant reminder to be filled with the Spirit (Ex. 35:31; Acts 13:52; Eph. 5:18).

The 7-branched menorah is a beautiful light-bearer so everyone in the house can see (Matt. 5:15). As I mentioned in a previous paragraph, the 7-branches represent the 7 Spirits (Rev. 4:5,6; Rev. 5:6), which are the 7-eyes of God (all-seeing) and the 7 Churches (Rev. 1:20). Each branch correspondingly can be overlaid in perfect harmony with the 7 Moedim (Gen. 1:14; Lev. 23), the 7 days of creation (Gen. 1:2-2:3), the 7 Seals, the 7 Trumpets, the 7 Bowls, 7 pieces of Tabernacle furniture, the 7 thunders, the 7 concepts to diligently add into your faith and much more.

When Paul commanded us to be filled with the Spirit, he was referencing our spiritual responsibility to keep our light burning. This isn't just a Feast of Tabernacle concept, it's an everyday concept to dispel the darkness of this world (Jn. 1:5; 3:19,20; Job 24:13-17; 1 Cor. 2:14).

I'll be flying back to Michigan this morning. Prayer appreciated!

Shalom!
