12.4.24 ~ She's worth it!

Good morning!

Part of our dust bunny dysfunction comes from our growing up days and the coping mechanisms we learned to survive. In this week's Torah portion, Vayetze/and he left, we see the results of a divided house where there was favoritism and the 'dust bunny' coping mechanisms that develop as a result. We'll make a comparison between the two 'ladders that reach to heaven (tower of babel and the Ladder in Jacob's dream) and the reason why Jacob wept when he saw the woman of his dreams; in search of his own bosom and tent, a wife (Deut. 13:6); A wife is a man's bosom.  Sarah is Abraham's bosom.

Sarah's Tent comforts those who dwell in Abraham's bosom with bread, light, and the Presence of the Lord (Gen. 24:67). For those, after death, who have the privilege of waiting for the resurrection in Abraham's bosom, there is the comfort of Sarah's tent (Lk. 16:19-31).  Yeshua, through His own life, demonstrated all three signs of Sarah's tent to the lost sheep of Israel, and now Jacob must seek a wife among his mother's kin to experience the same.  Jacob, however, will end up with a bigger bosom than he originally bargained for. Yiker-doodles! More on this during Friday night's zoom call at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Prophetically speaking, there will be a barrier that will separate Jacob's family in their return to the Land of Abraham and Isaac.  It is a special Land, known as Beit El (the House of God) that Jacob had seen in his dream (Gen. 13:3; 28:9).  The barrier will fix a great gulf between Jacob, the father of the Israelite nation and the deceitful Father-in-law, Laban.

Just as the 'dust bunnies' will go away in a coming day, the wonderful promise of nations coming from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be seen in its entirety at the 'wedding feast' in the coming day. As Yeshua said, 'many will come from all directions and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the reign of the heavens (Matt. 8:11).

At the end of Jacob's ladder dream/vision (Gen. 28:10-15) Jacob promises that he will give a tithe if God meets three specific requirements (laws of tithing in Deut. 14), which include the three things that every husband is obligated to give his wife: food, clothing, and "time," (spiritually, emotionally and physically). This is the clinging that God commands every husband to do towards his honey bunny (Gen. 2:24; Ex. 21:10).

Let's review what many of you already know :-) Zakar is the Hebrew term for a male, whose primary job is to remember or keep in remembrance/zikaron by how he deposits into his wife. Nekavah is the Hebrew term for the female, the one who is pierced/nakav or to designate and acts as a warrior to protect her zakar.

When Jacob meets Rachel, he is inspired to designate/nakav her as his bride with an expected wage. In Isaiah 62:1-7, Rev. 2:17, 3:12, the expected wage/nakav is the new name designated for the "married" and "virgin bride;" Jerusalem. The one who will bring forth life from the seed, the Word of God, which has been deposited in her. (Lk. 8:11)

Together, male and female, acting as one flesh/echad basar, will bring a great and designated reward, if both will do their part. Once Jacob fulfills his 7 years, having paid his wages to Laban, then and only then will he be able to designate/nakav his wage (Rachel as wife) from Laban.

A good lesson for all the zakar out there...It is the essence of a female to designate an expected reward in the future. We see this clearly with Leah as she names each of her six children. The name placed on each of them is according to her expected reward.  As with Leah, so with every woman. They are visionary. Always looking to the future! Man's strength is to recall the past in order to intervene in someone's life for the good; i.e. depositing good seed.
