1.15.25 ~ Did I do that?
Good morning
One of the great challenges in this world is knowing enough about a subject to think you’re right, but not enough about the subject to know you’re wrong. For many in our society today, we, speaking of me, myself and I, have forgotten how to think...not that I have this mastered! The purpose behind everyone of these studies is to guide you into the same thought patterns that our Messiah Yeshua taught, the Apostle Paul taught and what Moses, the Prophets and the writings taught: Using two or three witnesses to establish every truth (Deut. 17:6; 19:15; 2 Cor. 13:1; Matt. 18:16; Lk. 24:27; etc.). For that reason, that's why I always encourage you to look up every scripture and validate the point...but who has the time, right??
By using 2 or 3 witnesses (Moses, the Prophets, the Writings; aka the TaNaKh and the words of the Word Himself), you'll be able to see the world differently. It's important to question what others say.
There are three different types of truth in this world: personal truth, political truth, and objective truth. Personal truth is what it means to be and it's completely subjective. Political truth is completely cultural truth; what is accepted within our society. And there is objective truth, that which can be observed and tested anywhere within the universe.
The purpose of learning objective truth, which will influence our political and personal truth, is to turn data into information; to turn information into experience; and turn experience into wisdom to pass on to the next generation. Objective truth, whether society, or myself, believes it or not, is still truth. Yeshua said it best: "The truth will set you free" (Jn. 8:32; 17:17; Psa. 19:7; 119:9,11,104, 144, 151,152; Num. 12:8; etc.)
Many in society have lost the skill of being skeptical (questioning with pure motives). We've just accepted our positions in life, because that's the way it's always been. We believe whatever is presented rather than being a Berean and searching out the matter (Acts 17:11). It’s not good enough to be right on a particular matter. We also have to be effective in connecting with people with the truth. The less connected we are to what is objectively true, the less likely we will be able to make decisions that will benefit our life, the life of our family, and even civilization itself (Matt. 28:18-20; Isa. 49:6).
Let me challenge you to go into your day and ask yourself, whether in a classroom, an office setting, a bible study, or chilling out to some of your favorite cultural music, ask yourself, "Do I do 'that' because that is objective truth"? Or, "Do I believe that because that's what my environment has taught me is true"? There is a difference. Let's live the difference in this world.
Over the next several days I want to unveil to you some 'truth' in the book of names/shemot (aka Exodus). The 3 biblical reasons behind a name, which will impact you specifically and the prophetic giving of your name (the name given at birth, the name they were called by friends, and the name they earned; the last being most important (Psa. 2:7; Phil. 2:9; Acts 5:31; etc.). Why a name/shem is so powerful and why I should always call you by your name/shem.
May your name/shem be changed to the highest position possible (Isa. 62:2; Rev. 2:17; 3:12).
Shalom
Commercial: I'm less than a week away from the trip to Honduras, the presidential inauguration, and Suzanne's birthday (1/20/25 :-)...prayer appreciated.
