9.30.25 ~ It's Time
Good morning!
Many are familiar with the Hebraic concept, "It must be 'feast season', look how the enemy is attacking! Whether it's the appointed time/moed of shabbat (Lev. 23:3), any of the 7 prophetic appointed times/moedim on God's calendar (Lev. 23:4-44), the appointed time/moed of a child's birth (Gen. 17:21; 18:14; 21:2; etc), the appointed time/moedim of a plague (Ex. 9:5), the appointed time/moedim of bird migration (Jer. 8:7), an appointed time/moedim of vision (Hab. 2:3), or the appointed time/moedim of the last days (Dan. 8:19) or in the case of the King of Ai, it was an appointed time of battle against Joshua and God's people (Josh 8:14). There always seems to be an appointed time of decision...which way will I go at that time/moed?
The question that plagues all of our minds, with every moedim of our lives is: "who's responsible for these appointed times/moedim? Is it a time set by the Lord? Is it an individual choice? or is it just a time of battles? Enquiring minds want to know.
I don't have your answer. But your answer will depend on how you see life. If you see the appointed times/moedim of life as just random happenings then life will be nothing more than moving from one crisis to another; without purpose. If you see every event as a divine orchestration from above, you'll know you're in the right place at the right time to experience an appointed time/moedim for a deeper, richer encounter with Him.
During this fall feast season (not trick or trunk at halloween), we have the opportunity to draw nearer to him than ever before. By recognizing/hakernah Who controls every appointed time/moedim, as we saw in our study yesterday, every moedim is filled with joy and anticipation for the greatest outcome (Rom. 8:28,29).
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Rom. 8:28, 29)
May every appointed time/moedim be an appointed time of opportunity to be conformed to the image of His dear Son.
Don't miss them :-)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb. 10:24,25)
Chag Sameach!
Shalom,
Alan
