10.18.25 ~ Knowing the Right Time
Good morning!
What a crazy week! Shabbat shalom!! I'm not sure about you (actually, I am sure), life can be chaotic and confusing. Darkness permeates the air so heavy you can actually feel it! What do I do when that is your reality? For me, personally, I went back to Genesis 1:2, 3 and reminded myself of the Spirit of God hovering/rachaphet and God speaking/vayomer.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved /rachaphet upon the face of the waters. And God said/vayomer, Let there be light: and there was light. (Gen. 1:2,3)
What is the difference between when God spirit is hovering not directly interacting and not yet filling in the chaos direct light? Enquiring minds want to know :-)
Hovering/rachaphet means he’s encompassing, surrounding and the only other place that the Torah attack uses the word hovering is when we talk about a mother bird that hovers over its Young in Deuteronomy 32:11, which is connected to what God did for us in bringing us to Himself on Eagle's wings; and what Yeshua desired to do towards Jerusalem on His way to the cross (Matt. 23:37).
As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: (Deut. 32:11)
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and you would not! (Matt. 23:37)
The hovering is a process of surrounding with love; It’s RACHAMIM/Compassion from God that protects, nourishes and embraces it’s related to the word RECHEM which means the womb, the place of nurture, protection and life. The place where a child, a fetus, develops in the womb of its mother in a safe environment.
Did you notice that the word for compassion is the same in word as the womb? And what we see taking place in the opening chapter of Genesis is what is happening inside of a womb, the mother’s love surrounding its creation in the womb, until it's ready to receive divine words of light out from the chaos.
This is what God’s spirit was doing when the Earth was still chaotic and unrefined. The reason it had to hover and not go directly in was because its light would’ve overwhelmed the creation. The world which is a vessel of God's working was not capable yet of receiving God‘s direct light. But in verse three all of a sudden, God‘s direct light begins to Initiate a transition from chaos to complete rest.
The Spirit is no longer hovering, but gets directly involved. In fact, as most believe and know, the universe was created through God’s speech, which means emanations. Emanations of God. Emanations in the form of vibration right through his words from the Creator source Into the universe.
God sets the stage through perfect timing to move a chaotic and confusing domain into one of perfect shalom (Gen. 2;1-3).
What is this to us people created in God‘s image (Gen. 1:26-28) and how should we approach and interact with others with the everyday world with our lives? Again, enquiring minds want to know :-)
First, through the Spirit inside you, create a sacred space of compassion, like a womb. Once this is established and you know that the person is ready to receive the emanations of your divine light in wisdom...notice in Genesis 1:3 the text uses the word "Let". Let is a word of permission. And with permission there needs to be a willingness to receive. Without the willingness to receive they won't be able to reflect those good words of light in their lives.
So if the world you live in is troubled, if your homeland is troubled, if your tribe is being challenged, then hold those individuals in sacred space. Give them good 'vibes' at the right time. Surround them with the light of mercy and compassion because they’re going through a little bit of chaos and they won’t be able to hear you right away. They won’t be able to receive your help or your intentions or your words of wisdom so when the moment comes, they’re in a position to receive the divine words that will start them on their journey to complete shalom!
Shabbat shalom!
