9.14.26 – 10 Days of Awe

We are currently in what is commonly known as the "10 Days of Awe." We use the word awe as a term of endearment when someone says something nice to us, and we also use it when we experience a "jaw-dropping" moment. These ten days are supposed to be a little bit of both.

In hindsight, I hope your Yom Teruah was extra special. Ours here in Kansas City was jaw-droppingly awesome, fun, and filled with revelation about our Messiah's second coming and how to get our hearts in tune for Yom Kippur, when the books of heaven are closed for the next year.

In other words, the Fall Moedim are in high gear! Like everything within Scripture, they are directly connected to the working of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh). As we approach the sixth Moedim of the prophetic, biblical calendar, there is a stirring going on in the nations. This stirring is antithetical to the sixth Spirit of the Lampstand (menorah), which is known as the Spirit of Da'at (intimate and sacrificial knowledge).

Day six of creation, like the sixth biblical holiday and the sixth Spirit of the Menorah, connects man to the Creator and distinguishes him from the animals and beasts of the field. The sixth letter of the Hebrew aleph-bet, the vav, is a connector or joiner—similar to a nail that holds two objects together. It is also the conjunction for the English word and.

From the beginning, God made them male and female. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother, and the two shall become one flesh, so they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matt. 19:5–6). It is the sixth Spirit, the Spirit of sacrificial and intimate knowledge/da'at, that makes this connection.

The sixth day was the day when the declaration was made that it is not good for man to be alone (Gen. 2:18). It was the day the Lord God (Yahweh Elohim) provided a helper (Ezer Kenegdo)—one who supports by opposing—who was suitable for him. Just as the Spirit was sent to help, teach, and comfort Yeshua's disciples, so the woman was brought for the man. Both are there to help remind men of things (John 14:26).

This type of knowledge is connected to abiding in the vine (John 15), and it will be a determining factor within the fruit-bearing realm toward false prophets in the coming day when Yeshua declares that He never knew (da'at) them (Matt. 7:18–23). This sixth facet of the Spirit is a key component of preparation for His kingdom, and it is a crucial reality for the upcoming Day of Coverings/Yom HaKippurim.

Our works that we associate with the Kingdom need to have the fruit inspector see if they are empowered by the Spirit of da'at or if they are empowered by our self-will (Gen. 11:6). They need to be examined as to whether they are dead works (Heb. 6:1) or empowered by the spirit of understanding (binah) and the resurrection spirit of counsel (etzah) and knowledge (da'at). If they are relational acts of love that are directly connected to Yom HaKippurim, there is wonderful covering waiting for you!

You may have noticed that there is a stirring deep inside of you... You are not alone! During this time of year, the Spirit of Da'at has orchestrated it that way to bring people together in love and wholeness. Consequently, there is a lot of confession going on at this time of year. Reconciling relationships is a high priority, and the Spirit of sacrificial knowledge/da'at, where individuals think about the body more than themselves, is the sixth lamp that needs to be burning bright in all of our lives in preparation for Sukkot, the seventh Moedim, to be a time of incredible awe and rest.

I was talking to a man the other day about these things. He said that he did not know anything about them. I asked if he was a believer in Jesus Christ, Yeshua the Messiah (I used both terms with him). He said yes. I followed up with another question: "Are you sensing what I am sharing with you?" He said, in a "jaw-dropping" moment, YES.

Whether you have the terminology or have the witness of the Spirit of God in you (Rom. 8:13–17), the spiritual pattern of drawing close to Him or running from Him, like a modern-day Jonah, is either going to produce a "jaw-dropping" revelation of God in your life or a "jaw-clenching" one.

4.4.26 ~ Can You Count to Three?

Today, Saturday 4/4/26, many will celebrate the day that Yeshua was visibly seen risen from the grave (John 20:1; Matt. 28:1–10; Luke 24:1–10)! The day after His resurrection, Yeshua would be out ministering to the doubts of His disciples, helping them realize that He is alive and that the purpose of His resurrection would be catalyzed by their lives. For the disciples closest to Yeshua and those who stood at a safe distance away, it was a time of doubt. The enemy was in hot pursuit.
