9.17.26 – Finish Before You Begin

Traditionally, we are between Yom Teruah and Yom HaKippurim—in the Ten Days of Awe. 

Over the past couple of days, we have learned how to go back and peer into the perfection of our soul by traveling back in our minds to the Garden of Eden, before man's sin (Gen. 2:7; 3:1–8), and to Mount Sinai, before the sin of the golden calf (Ex. 19–20). Then we painfully compare that perfection to where we are now (Neh. 8:8–10) and commit to rebuilding the walls and gates of our lives to protect those things of incredible value in our lives.

Before you build something—spiritually, emotionally, physically, relationally, or financially—you have to finish the project first! Without going back to the "state of perfection," there is nothing to start building from.

Once we honestly evaluate where we are and start the building process, it is easy for unforgiveness to creep in. We begin to recognize the pain inflicted—self-inflicted or otherwise—in our lives, which leads us to a major question we must all ask: "How can I forgive if I can't forget?"

Perspective in life is everything! If you see yourself as a victim, you will feel alone in life, be alone in life, bitter in life, envious in life, and live a life of unfruitful shame. But if you see yourself as a "seed" buried in the pit, you will learn how to bring forth life through your death and deliver your world from starvation! That is worth reading again—and prayerfully inserting yourself into the statement.

Today is the fifth day of the week. Wow, does it not seem that we are always counting days? Yes, we are (Ps. 90:12)!

This morning, and every weekday, at 8:00 a.m. EST, we will continue our studies preparing ourselves for Yom HaKippurim. Since I do not have internet yet, we are doing WhatsApp conference calls (816-772-2183).

From Yom Teruah, may you have a sweet year, and from Yom HaKippurim, may your name be inscribed in the Book of Life!

4.4.26 ~ Can You Count to Three?

Today, Saturday 4/4/26, many will celebrate the day that Yeshua was visibly seen risen from the grave (John 20:1; Matt. 28:1–10; Luke 24:1–10)! The day after His resurrection, Yeshua would be out ministering to the doubts of His disciples, helping them realize that He is alive and that the purpose of His resurrection would be catalyzed by their lives. For the disciples closest to Yeshua and those who stood at a safe distance away, it was a time of doubt. The enemy was in hot pursuit. They were fearful for their lives, but just at the God-appointed time, their salvation appeared.  Does that sound vaguely familiar? It should. Earlier this week, on the day after Passover—the 15th of the first month—the natural-born Israelites and those who joined them through the blood of the Lamb exited Egypt and headed toward the sea.
