9.6.26 – Spur One Another On!

We are now just one week away from Yom Teruah—the first day of the seventh month, Tishri. It is the day when the trumpet and shofar will sound, and the dead in Messiah will be raised and gathered together (1 Thess. 4:16–17; 5:1; 2 Thess. 2:1). It is a holy convocation, a set-apart rehearsal (Lev. 23:23), and a Sabbath day of rest from work (Lev. 23:24). It is the fifth of the yearly moedim, the appointed times of assembly for the body of Messiah. It is also the day of resurrection, when the sons of God will be revealed (Rom. 8:23). This day closes out the month of Elul and ushers us into the Ten Days of Awe, culminating in the complete covering provided on Yom HaKippurim. In other words, these are exciting times to be living in!

Regarding these appointed times of assembly, the writer of Hebrews reminds us in 10:25 not to forsake gathering together, as some have made a habit, but to do so all the more as we see the Day approaching.

Why would the writer urge us to prioritize these events more and more as the Day draws near? Could there be something uniquely significant about these days? Is there specific revelation and intimacy to be found at these appointed times? The answer is 100% yes!

Without a doubt, the Spirit speaks to us on any given day, week, month, or year, and we can certainly encounter Yahweh any time we gather. But Scripture reveals that Yahweh has set apart specific dates on which He gives special revelation to His beloved for the days ahead.

Those dates include corporate worship on the weekly Shabbat, as well as Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonements, and Sukkot. These are prophetic moments—times when prophetic downloads are released concerning the coming Day.

By not forsaking these gatherings, the entire body of Messiah is encouraged and stirred toward love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24)! Personally, nothing encourages me more than seeing people order their lives according to Yahweh's prophetic calendar. These are the ones who are "doers of the word" (James 1:22), and it is the doers who will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant…" (Matt. 25:21, 23).

Of course, there is more to faithfulness than assembling on His appointed times (Gen. 1:14; Lev. 23), but nothing testifies to who is Master over your life quite like how you choose to use your time.

Sunday, September 13, 2026, is the traditional date for Yom Teruah. I hope you will gather with others—all for the sake of spurring one another on to love and good deeds, and to receive divine revelation for the Day ahead.

4.4.26 ~ Can You Count to Three?

Today, Saturday 4/4/26, many will celebrate the day that Yeshua was visibly seen risen from the grave (John 20:1; Matt. 28:1–10; Luke 24:1–10)! The day after His resurrection, Yeshua would be out ministering to the doubts of His disciples, helping them realize that He is alive and that the purpose of His resurrection would be catalyzed by their lives. For the disciples closest to Yeshua and those who stood at a safe distance away, it was a time of doubt. The enemy was in hot pursuit. They were fearful for their lives, but just at the God-appointed time, their salvation appeared.  Does that sound vaguely familiar? It should.
